The Restoration Fund
The restoration fee goes towards the ongoing restoration and refurbishment of the theatre. We do not include this fee in our ticket price as we feel it is important to be transparent. So what has this money paid for?
Over the past few years as a result of the restoration fund the Theatre has been able to undertake the following projects:
- Bar & Essex Hall Refurbishment
- Upgrade to Sound System
- Lighting Upgrade
- Replacement Tiered Seating
- New Low Energy LED Followspots
- Refurbishment of Ladies Toilets
The Future
Our Commitment to Our Customers and The Environment
The theatre is currently striving to become environmentally friendly and looking at ways to reduce its carbon footprint.
In the last 5 years we have converted to 90% LED lighting and our goal is to achieve 100% within the next 5 years.
We are in the process of reviewing all of our single use plastic and shall be attempting to replace with environmental friendly biodegradable products.
We are also currently adapting our working practices and the building to attaining a dementia friendly accreditation.
